Elephant Ears

Sometimes the only path forward is combat.

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 10-12 minutes

Yield: 4 large elephant ears

Inspired by: Ep. 31

8 oz crescent roll dough

Cinnamon sugar (1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 t ground cinnamon)

4 T softened butter

Cooking spray

  1. Line a baking tray with parchment and pre-heat oven to 350°F.

  2. Separate each of the crescent roll triangles, matching them in size so you have four pairs.

  3. Spread 1 T of room temperature butter on four of the triangles and generously sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

  4. Put a second triangle on each of the coated ones and press down on the edges to adhere (if it doesn't seem to be adhering, you can put a little water on the edges of the cinnamon-sugar triangles to help the two stick together).

  5. Lightly spray each filled ear with cooking spray and then sprinkle more cinnamon sugar on top.

  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden brown. Serve immediately with cinnamon sugar butter (4 T softened butter mixed with 1 t cinnamon sugar) or a chocolate dipping sauce!
