Lemon Rosemary "Sun Tea"

When you need an herbaceous pick-me-up for those cold nights camping.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Steep time: 3-5 minutes

First seen in: Ep 3 Many Meetings

  • 2-3 lemon slices

  • 3-4 sprigs fresh rosemary

  • 1t-1T honey (optional)

  1. First, put a full kettle over the campfire and bring to a full simmer (we brew ours to around 205°F).

  2. Grab your favorite mug or thermos and add the sprigs of fresh rosemary.

  3. Pour your water over the rosemary and allow to steep for 3 minutes.

  4. Add in 1-2 quartered lemon slices and gently stir.

  5. We recommend honey as a sweetener for this tea, but use whatever sweetener your prefer, if any!

  6. Garnish with your remaining lemon slice and enjoy!

*We think our adventurers would probably make "sun tea" the old-fashioned way: by adding ingredients to a jar and allowing to steep slowly using only the sun's heat! However, that method can creating a breeding ground for bacteria unless you take extensive measures to ensure safety (using distilled water, sanitizing all equipment, etc), so we recommend brewing as above if you'd like to take it easy and enjoy your tea a little sooner.
