1 egg white

2 T + 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar (separated)

2 T finely crushed Oreos or chocolate cookies

1/4 cup water

2 t light corn syrup

Pinch of salt

  1. Grease a small container (you can use a 9 x 5 in loaf pan, individual muffin tins, or a 9 x 9 in square pan, the larger the container, the thinner your candy will be).

  2. Whisk together egg white and 2 T granulated sugar until thick and opaque white.

  3. Add in the crushed oreos and whisk until combined.

  4. In a small pot combine 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar, 1/4 cup water, 2 t light corn syrup, and a pinch of salt.

  5. Heat over medium heat until the temperature reaches 300°F (the hard crack stage).

  6. Turn off the heat and add the egg white mixture to the heated sugar, mixing quickly to combine.

  7. Pour candy into prepared pan and allow to cool and set fully.

  8. Turn out the candy mixture and break, cut, or smash it into whatever size you'd like, and enjoy!
